Sheet A-101 · Schedule, numbers, RFI log

Three meetings
to a fixed price.

No discovery phase that bills by the hour, no 40-page proposal. You see working software before you agree a price, and the price is fixed before the build starts.

Change orders

The scope is written down and the price is fixed. Three review rounds are included for the changes you'll want once you see it working. After that, anything new is a change order: described, priced and agreed before any work, just like on your jobs.

Questions, answered

RFI log

  1. RFI-001

    Who owns the code?

ResponseYou do. At handover you get the repository, the docs, the deployment and the data. There's no licence key and nothing that phones home.

  2. RFI-002

What does the $500 get me?

ResponseA working prototype of your idea and a meeting to go through it. If you stop there, you've spent $500 and you know exactly what your idea looks like on screen.

  3. RFI-003

    How is the price set?

ResponseFrom the written scope we agree in meetings 2 and 3. It's a fixed price, not an hourly meter. If the scope doesn't change, the price doesn't either.

  4. RFI-004

    What's a change order?

ResponseAnything outside the agreed scope, or changes after the three review rounds. Same as on your jobs: priced and agreed before it's done, never a surprise on the invoice.

  5. RFI-005

What if you get hit by a bus?

ResponseThe code and docs are in your repository, written with standard tools (React, Node, Postgres). Any competent developer can pick it up. That's the point of owning it.

  6. RFI-006

    Where does it run?

ResponseOn your own accounts (your cloud, your domain), set up as part of the build. Optional support covers hosting, fixes and small changes, and you can cancel it any time.

  7. RFI-007

Should I just buy SaaS instead?

ResponseSometimes, yes. If a subscription fits how you work and the numbers are small, keep it. Run the rent vs own calculator on A-001; it'll tell you.

  8. RFI-008

Do you only work with general contractors?

ResponseGeneral contractors and specialty contractors, electrical especially. Meetings are by video, early mornings Eastern time.
